Free kids art workshop held June 27 at N.C. History Center
Children between the ages of 5-12 are invited to the North Carolina History Center for a free art workshop inspired by the Fourth of July on Saturday, June 27, from 10 a.m. to noon. Space is limited for this workshop and reservations are recommended.
Designed out of paper and streamers, children attending the workshop will leave with a red, white and blue windsock they can use as a toy or decoration on the Fourth of July.
While children can participate in the workshop any time between 10 a.m. and noon, preregistration is recommended.
Adults are not required to purchase a ticket for the workshop but children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Workshop includes free youth galleries pass (includes Pepsi Family Center) and discounted admission for adults for those who register before the event reaches its capacity.
The workshop will be conducted by a certified North Carolina Public School art teacher and can easily be adapted for children with special needs.
This art workshop is offered free of charge thanks to a grant from the Craven County Community Foundation, an affiliate of the North Carolina Community Foundation.
