Explore the Science of Archaeology and Conservation at QAR Lab Open House April 23

The Queen Anne’s Revenge Conservation Lab will host its annual Open House on Saturday, April 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors are invited to experience the ongoing conservation of the pirate Blackbeard's flagship, Queen Anne's Revenge, formerly the French slaving vessel La Concorde. Admission is free for this fun, interactive, family-friendly, and educational event, “The Science of Archaeology and Conservation.”

Be an archaeological conservator for a day and learn how the lab staff use chemistry, physics, technology, and more through fun hands-on activities!

The event is part of the North Carolina Science Festival and is featured as a “Kelvin’s Choice” event.
