Yesterday, the North Carolina Governor’s Mansion joined a nationwide effort to memorialize and honor American lives lost to COVID-19.
The Presidential Inaugural Committee invited cities and towns across the country to join Washington, D.C. in illuminating buildings and ringing church bells at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 19 in a national moment of unity and remembrance. The mansion was illuminated in amber lights to honor and remember those who have died as a result of COVID-19, and as a symbol to renew our commitment to coming together to end the pandemic.
