RALEIGH, NC – The N.C. Government and Heritage Library will open to the public Nov. 12 with some new procedures in place to help ensure the safety of staff and visitors, including:
• Temporary library hours: 1–4 p.m., Monday-Friday.
• Number of visitors limited to six at any given time and appointments are required for entry: https://visitghl.eventbrite.com
• Staff and visitors are required to wear cloth face coverings in accordance with Gov. Roy Cooper’s Executive Order 163.
• Hand sanitizing stations are available in the reading room.
• Frequent cleaning of high touch public areas and restrooms.
• Researchers are encouraged to use the GHL’s online resources.

Visitors are encouraged to follow the “Three Ws” as outlined by the N.C. Dept. of Health and Human Services – WEAR a cloth face mask; WAIT in line at least six feet away from others, and WASH hands frequently or use hand sanitizer. If you are experiencing symptoms of illness, we ask that you postpone your visit.
