Artists in all disciplines are eligible to apply for grants to support their professional and artistic development through a program of the North Carolina Arts Council.
North Carolina’s statewide network of local arts councils is accepting applications for the new Artist Support Grants program.
“The Artist Support Grants program responds to the impact of the pandemic by ensuring that artists and the state’s arts infrastructure have the resources needed to help our state make a strong social and economic recovery,” said Wayne Martin, executive director of the Arts Council.
Emerging or established artists will be able to apply for grants supporting a range of professional and artistic development including the creation of work, improvement of business operations, or expanding capacity to bring work to new audiences. Artist fees are also allowable expenses under the new program.
Artists in all disciplines are eligible to apply, although deadlines vary by county. To learn more about the Artist Support Grants and where to apply in your region, click here.
