The North Carolina Historical Commission Confederate Monuments Study Committee will meet via conference call Thursday, April 5 at 3:30 p.m.
During the meeting, the committee intends to review the status of information they have requested from legal and other expert authorities regarding a petition to relocate three Confederate monuments from the State Capitol grounds in Raleigh to the Bentonville Battlefield State Historic Site in Four Oaks, N.C. The committee will also review the status of public comments submitted on the issue and set a date for the closure of the public comment period.
