'Cute' isn't the first adjective that comes to mind when describing an intense Internet battle, but today's #CuteAnimalTweetOff on Twitter had us aww-ing at our desks all day. The most adorable war the world has ever seen erupted after the National Zoo in Washington, D.C. tweeted a picture of their new grey seal pup. A Twitter user challenged the Virginia Aquarium to produce a cuter picture and delightful chaos ensued. But, of course, you can't have a cute animal battle without the NC Zoo, NC Aquariums and NC Museum of Natural Sciences stepping in and sweeping the competition. Check out North Carolina's winning submissions below!
