Kathleen Kenney, from the State Library of North Carolina was recently invited to contribute to the Library of Congress’s digital preservation blog called The Signal. Kenney's article about the North Carolina State Government Web Site Archives joins other posts written by digital preservation leaders from around the country.
The North Carolina State Government Web Site Archives is a joint project of two North Carolina Department of Cultural Resources agencies – the State Library and the State Archives. The project showcases state agency Web sites inNorth Carolina dating back to 1996.
Kenny is the project director for Ensuring Democracy through Digital Access, in partnership with ECU and UNC-Chapel Hill, and is a digitization specialist on the Access to State Government Information Initiative digital preservation grant, both funded by a federal grant through the Library Services and Technology Act.
