Deans Eatman
Deans Eatman has led the Department’s legislative affairs since 2019. He has worked with the North Carolina General Assembly as a legislative staffer, of behalf of an industry trade group, and on behalf of state agencies since 2013.
A lifelong enthusiast for all things North Carolina, Deans enjoys traveling throughout the State and reading about North Carolina history in his spare time. Deans started working as a volunteer at Historic Halifax State Historic Site three days after his 14th birthday (the minimum volunteer age at the time).
A native of Halifax County, Deans has a B.S. in Agricultural Science from North Carolina State University and lives in Wendell. He has served as a member of the Halifax Community College Board of Trustees, the Historical Halifax Restoration Association Board of Directors, the Wake County Transit Advisory Committee, and the Town of Wendell Planning Board.
