Abandoned Property Claims
The Department of Natural and Cultural Resources has a list of abandoned properties left in museums, historic sites, and archives. All attempts have been made to locate and inform the owner of these items. For property with an estimated value in excess of $10,000, notices will be posted on this page for no less than 365 consecutive days. For property with an estimated value of less than or equal to $10,000, notices will be posted on this page for no less than 180 consecutive days. If no one comes forward to prove ownership of their property, the museum, historic site, or archive acquires title to the property.
